Below please find current opportunities to volunteer at Shelton:
Recess Support Volunteer (M-F 1.5 hr):
10:20AM - 11:50AM
Recess support for our youngest coyotes (PreK-2nd grade) on the upper and lower playgrounds. Assist recess paras with playground accessory (balls, jumprope, hoops) setup and cleanup, as well as oversight of playground safety rules and behavior.
Lunchroom Volunteer (M-F .5 hr):
10:40AM - 12:05PM
Help out our youngest Coyotes (preK -2nd grade) with lunch! You'll be helping open lunch containers and getting the students through the cafeteria line. You'll also assist the lunch paras as needed with any spills and cleanup.
Lunchroom Cleanup Volunteer (M-F 0.5 hr):
1:15PM - 1:45PM
Help with lunchroom cleanup after all of the students have finished their lunches for the day.
Crossing Guards
We are looking for Volunteer Crossing Guards to keep our coyotes safe on their way to school and on their way home from school. Volunteers will work the crosswalk at Crawford Street in front of the school nearest to the driveway. You will be provided a large metal stop sign and safety vest. Please review the available slots in the link below and click on the button to sign up. The 1st slot will be the 7:20AM morning shift, the 2nd slot will be the 2:30PM afternoon shift. Jeffco Public School does require a background check for non-parent volunteers and for all to study and test for basic safety training. Thank you for considering this very cool job!
