Shelton Elementary Fall Fundraiser
Dear Shelton Families and Community,
Every fall, Shelton PTSA raises money to support the programs, events, and resources that make Shelton special. For the past few years, we have raised these funds through our Direct Give Campaign.
This year, we’re trying something new. On September 12, we’re hosting the first annual Den After Dark event at the Golden Events Center! The event will have a new theme every year and the 2026 theme is "Y2K Homecoming". This adults-only night will be a chance to dance, have fun, and connect with Shelton parents, alumni families, staff, and friends - all while helping us raise $30,000 for PTSA programs and student enrichment this school year.
There are four ways to helps meet our goal:
1. Buy a ticket and join the party!
Come dressed for our Y2K-themed homecoming and help support Shelton students. Buy tickets here
2. Become a Den After Dark Sponsor
Support Shelton students while helping make our first Den After Dark a success! We have several sponsorship levels to choose from, with each level offering different recognition for your support. Explore the sponsorship packages here and purchase a sponsorship package here.
3. Make a donation.
Can’t attend? You can still help us reach our goal with a direct donation. Donate here
4. Bid in the Silent Auction.
Bidding opens September 1! Our community has donated some amazing items, including:
-A ride to school in a fire truck with the Golden Fire Department
-Colorado Railroad Museum Polar Express tickets
-A reserved front-row parking spot for the 2026–27 school year
-A four-day stay in Florida!
Every ticket, donation, and auction bid helps support Shelton students.

Don’t forget to ask for a company match to make your donation go even further! All donations are 100% tax deductible.

If the goal is not met by October 1, PTSA will explore other fundraising events and grants.
We are also planning for a Coyote Chase Fundraiser (Pledge Run) in Spring 2027 to fund a specific need

Due to your support, Shelton PTSA was able to do the following last year:
Did you know that in most years, more than 85% of funds raised by PTSA are direct donations or company matches? Last year, of the generosity and support of our Shelton Community, PTSA was able to spend nearly $200 per Shelton student in grants & items for the school.
Spending from the 2025-2026 School Year:
Celebrations: Back to School Night & Boohoo/Yahoo breakfast for families of new students, Alternative Halloween Party, Kindergarten and 5th Grade Continuation, shirts for all new Shelton students
Other Events: STEM Fair, Heritage Fair, Reflections, Virtual Talent Show, Community Engagement Breakfasts and Breakfasts for the Shelton Community with the Principal
Spending from the 2025-2026 School Year:
- ~$13,000 in donations to Shelton for reading, STEAM and library programs including Read-A-Thon, author visits, book giveaways, book clubs, and Battle of the Books support
- More than $10,000 Donations to Shelton for Math Interventions tools, self regulation stations and screen-free brain break activities.
- ~11,000 Donated for future playground and outside learning area investments by Shelton.
- $10,000 For New Gym Sound System (funded by Grant Awarded to PTSA Grant Team)
- More than $7,000 in technology and technology subscriptions for Shelton.
- $5,000 Donation to Shelton to fund a school-based JCMH mental health therapist for the 2026-27 school year.
- More than $4,000 in classroom/staff funding.
- $4,000 in teacher appreciation and wellness
- $3,0000 for engaging weekly community meetings for upcoming school year.
- $3,000 towards Health & Wellness programs: Eat the Rainbow, Bike and Walk to School Days, Field Day, Health Heroes, Donation of 2 picnic tables for outdoor learning.
