How does pickup work if I drop off my child or walk? The end of the school day can look hectic, especially in the parking lot. We ask that parents maintain a one-way loop through the parking lot and stay in their vehicle. Teachers and staff will escort your child to your car. If you walk to school, most parents meet at the Shelton Community Garden. The Kindergarteners are released from their classrooms from a nearby door, often a few minutes before the final bell.
Can I volunteer in my child's classroom? Yes, your teacher will provide needs and opportunities to be involved in the classroom. Volunteering often starts in late September after classroom routines are established. The PTSA also offers many volunteer opportunities.
Is there a school directory to set up play dates? We encourage all of our families to register on Konstella: konstella.com/cd/T8F8GX. It is free and you can join a classroom, interest groups, and contact other parents.
How do I join the PTSA? Great question! We encourage all of our families to become PTSA members. It is a great way to stay connected to the school and advocate for your child's education. Join here. Membership is only $10/year and scholarships are available.
