king soopers gift card program
If you buy groceries and gas at any King Soopers or Loaf & Jugs, King Soopers can donate 5% of what you spend directly to Shelton.
You can participate in this fantastic program and help Shelton meet its fundraising goal. Other family members such as grandparents can participate too.
How Does the Program Work?
Q: Does it cost any money to participate in the program?
A: No. Every dollar you load on your card is yours to spend on purchases!
Q: How long does it take / is it a hassle to load the card?
A: It only takes a few moments to load the card and it can be done at the checkout stand (no need to go to the customer service desk).
Q: Is there a minimum amount I have to load?
A: No. Add any amount up to $500.
Q: Will I still get my frequent flyer or other points if I participate?
A: Yes. If you use a credit or debit card that earns you loyalty points such as frequent flyer miles to load your gift card, nothing changes with your points.
Q: I used to have a gift card but I lost it or it no longer works. What now?
A: Cards with a balance never expire but cards with a zero balance expire after 90 days. If your card is lost or expired, just purchase a new one.
Q: Can I buy a reloadable card at King Soopers?
A: No. The card must be purchased from Shelton for Shelton to receive the 5% donation.
Q: Can I use the card at any King Soopers / Loaf & Jug?
A: Yes. The card can be used at any Kroger-owned store, including stores in other states (Kroger, Ralphs, Dillons, Smith's, King Soopers, Fry's, QFC, City Market, Owen's, Jay C, Pay Less, Baker's, Gerbes, Scott's Food & Pharmacy, Harris Teeter).
Q: Can my parents, neighbors, friends, etc. participate?
A: Yes! We have many extended family members (even some who live in other states) using a card to support Shelton. Just purchase carda from Shelton and give them to your participants.
In the 2016-2017 school year, King Soopers donated nearly $20,000 to Shelton! The money was used to purchase science lab and curriculum materials and technology for the classrooms.
This year's goal is $20,000 - we know we can do it!
Progress from previous years:
Q: What happens if I lose the card?
A: The cards are like any gift card or cash. If lost, the card value cannot be replaced. Contact Debbie South and we may be able to transfer the balance to a new card.
Q: How do I find out the balance on my card?
A: The balance will be printed on the bottom of your register receipt or the cashier can check it.
Q: Is this a PTSA fundraiser?
A: No. PTSA manages the program for Shelton, but the funds go directly to Shelton Shelton administrators decide where the money should be spent.
