winter clothes drive for sheltonWhat: Donate winter clothes your child has outgrown. When: Drop Off 12/7-12/15 Please drop off your child's gently used winter coats, snow pants and boots ranging in size from K-6th. Please no adult clothing. Items will be distributed to Shelton families in need of winter clothing in the next few weeks. We are also accepting NEW hats and mittens. There will be a rack by the library to hang these items on. We’re starting to get some very interesting science and engineering questions being asked by our inquisitive kids. We’re on our way to achieving at least a 75% student participation goal! If you haven’t already done so, please take 5 minutes and head on over to our S&EF registration page so that your students are registered to participate in the fair: We uploaded template notebooks for the three project types to our website:

My plate menu planners success!More than 100 students returned their My Plate Menu Planners during our November nutrition incentive. That's a terrific response! Many students reported that by tracking their daily food intake, they needed to add more fruits and vegetables to their diet. We will be conducting another nutrition incentive in January - stay tuned for more details! culture & climate committeeOur wonderful teachers have been working with the Culture and Climate Committee to find unique ways to include mindfulness and gratitude in their daily routine. For the past few months, Shelton teachers have been keeping "gratitude journals" and sharing "mindfulness" strategies for their classrooms.
