Volunteer for a chance to win!
Whether you enjoy volunteering regularly or have limited time, there are opportunities to fit a variety of schedules.
Please click the button to view / signup on teachers' online calendar!
Beginning this month, PTSA is sponsoring a giveaway for our classroom volunteers!
Each time you sign in at the office to volunteer in a classroom, sign your name on a piece of paper and drop it into our volunteer box at the front office. The more you volunteer, the more chances you will have to win!
At the end of each month, we will have a drawing. This month’s prize is a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card!
If you have questions about volunteering, or are having trouble finding a spot that works for you, please contact our Classroom Volunteer Program Coordinators for assistance:
Jessica Smith (Grades K-3 Coordinator) email@example.com
Tricia Chang (Grades 4-6 Coordinator) firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for all of your hard work as volunteers! Our teachers, staff, and students really benefit from the generous sharing of your time.
speaking of volunteers...
We have several openings for coordinator positions for the 2017-2018 school year. These positions give you lots of opportunities to get involved in activities at Shelton - and kids LOVE it when they see "their" adults in the building!
Many coordinators are "retiring" because their students are moving on to middle school. You can get involved NOW and learn from these coordinators before they move on!
Science & engineering fair news
Building on the enthusiasm from Shelton's awesome Math & Science Night, students will begin to prepare this fall for the Science and Engineering Fair, Jan 26th.
Tip of the week: Ask your students what interests them, and what science, engineering, or research topic fits their interests.
We need your help now for the s&ef!
We need some help NOW to make this event a success! Please check out the options on our Help Wanted Now Page or sign up by clicking the button below.
Thanks for all your support and help. We cannot do this without you,

Health & wellness updates
Garden update: Construction of the elk-proof fence is complete! Last week, our new Mascot and some of his friends dug a perimeter trench and removed the old split-rail fence and filled in all the holes. The next step will be turning over the soil to prepare the ground for planting.
Stay tuned for weekly updates and find out how you can get involved.
