Shelton's Health & Wellness Committee and PTSA invite you to learn how parents, school leaders and food service staff can work together to create a healthy school food environment. Space is limited. We have 15 plots that will be available to community members, and 7 plots will be reserved for each grade level. If we have more than 15 people interested in plots, we will do a lottery. Please note: Lots are 10' x 12' and the cost of the plot is a suggested donation of $25-$50 for the season. There is a required background check for plot lease. We expect that plot assignments will be made by 3/17. Dates are subject to change. earth day & garden volunteer day Sat, 4/22Mark your calendars to join us on EARTH DAY, Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for a volunteer work day at the garden. Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) will be on hand with a crew of volunteers and a shift leader who will assign tasks. We'll be spreading crusher fine for pathways and edging ground-level plots with cedar. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty, and garden gloves if you have them. DUG will provide all tools and supplies. Students are welcome!
