shelton spelling bee
Date: Tuesday, 1/24

Where: Shelton library
We are proud and excited to have 25 students, in grades 4th-6th, qualify for our spelling bee. Our top 2 spellers will then move on to represent our school at the Golden area spelling bee on Tuesday, February 7 at Free Horizon School at 6:00 pm.

science & engineering fair updates

We’re all in our final “push” toward this year’s Science and Engineering Fair, from students completing their projects to our adult support volunteers finalizing logistics, assigning judging duties, printing up labels and awards, and checking off the last remaining items on our to-do lists.
We still need several volunteers to support our phenomenal young scientists and engineers. The record-breaking kid count shows the kids love the fair, and the fair cannot happen unless they have adult support. Sign up here:

5:00 PM – Reception opens, refreshments
5:45 PM – Keynote speakers (a couple of scientists and engineers talking about how they started or developed their careers)
6:15 PM – Awards ceremony

Fourth grade teacher Nichole Perry, Jenny, and I have had a lot of fun this year brainstorming some new elements leading up to and included in our fair. We look forward to seeing everyone on January 26th, and we’re looking forward to a rewarding experience for students and adults alike!

Shelton's Annual Geography Bee will be February 1st, 2017, 6PM. All students interested in participating in the Geo Bee should stop by the library for an information and permission form beginning January 9th.
