upcoming events & important dates
We can't stress enough how desperate we are for volunteers. We are hopeful, for the success of our events, that everyone will sign up to volunteer at least once this year. Let's make this a record year for volunteer involvement! Stay tuned for ways you can help or reach out to us at email@example.com
Have you updated your My School Anywhere (MSA) profile? (not Jeffco Connect)
MSA is an online directory and communications tool PTSA uses to keep you informed about events and programs, including classroom parties and volunteer opportunities.
You should have received an email with a link to your profile, but if not, just click the button below and you can edit your info or add your family if you are not in the system.
Just remember to select your child's teacher so you'll receive info relevant to his or her classroom!
NOTE: Unless you chose to opt-out in Jeffco Connect, your profile is included in MSA. You can opt-out by logging into your MSA profile.
It only takes a few moments, so make sure you don't miss important info!
COYOTE CHASE - This Friday, SEPT. 15!
Come cheer on our little "coyotes" as they run laps around Shelton's soccer field and earn pledges! The more laps they run, the more money they earn for Shelton PTSA.
This is one of PTSA's most important fundraisers and best of all - it's a really fun day for kids, staff & volunteers! There are still plenty of volunteer needs for this event to be smooth and successful! Please click here to sign up to help!

HEALTH AND WELLNESS CORNER
Are you interested in helping our students lead active and healthy lifestyles? The Shelton Health & Wellness Committee is inviting new members to join their team! The committee consists of dedicated parents and teachers who work together on a variety of projects aimed at improving the health and wellness of students and staff, including the Community Garden, Walk to School Day, Bike to School Day, and Field Day. The committee meets monthly on Tuesday mornings in the library. If you are interested, join us at the next meeting on Tuesday, September 12 at 7:30 am - 8:30 am. OR contact Jenna Layne at email@example.com for info.
It’s time to form your Destination Imagination teams! What is Destination Imagination, or DI? DI is a team-centered creative competition. A DI team consists of 2 and no more than 7 classmates and two or more parents need to volunteer to lead each team. All DI activities are student-driven, so students are in charge of all investigating, planning and production when it comes to DI. DI teams meet and work through the fall and winter, then show off their new skills when competing at the annual Jeffco DI tournament in late February. Most important to DI participants: as you collaborate on your teams, you will have fun, make new friends and gain confidence in your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Want to know more? Parents and kids, join Paul Naslund, the Colorado DI Regional Director, for a DI presentation on Wednesday, Sept. 27th from6-7 PM in the Shelton library. Check out the DI website at: http://www.dicolorado.com and feel free to e-mail me, Karin Blanchard, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions and for more information.
